What is the difference between steel toe and composite toe safety shoes?
A steel toe cap is heavier and provides excellent impact protection for heavy industrial environments. A composite toe cap is lighter, non-metallic โ so it passes airport-style metal detectors โ and does not conduct heat or cold, making it ideal for UAE's extreme temperatures and secure site environments.
Both meet EN ISO 20345:2011 certification. If you work in oil & gas, secure facilities, or need to pass metal detectors regularly, composite toe is the better choice. For heavy construction or steelwork, steel toe is recommended.

How do I clean and maintain my SLIMTA safety shoes?
For daily maintenance, wipe down with a damp cloth after each use. For deeper cleaning, use mild soap and water โ avoid soaking and allow to air dry away from direct sunlight or heat sources. Do not machine wash. For the insole, remove it weekly and air it out to prevent odour buildup.
Sizing
How do SLIMTA shoes fit โ do they run true to size?
SLIMTA safety shoes are sized in EU measurements and generally run true to size. If you are between sizes or have wider feet, we recommend going one size up to allow for work socks and foot swelling during long shifts in UAE's heat.

All SLIMTA safety shoes are available in EU sizes 36 to 48, covering both men's and women's sizing across all models.
How do I convert my UK or US shoe size to EU?
- UK 6 = EU 39 / UK 7 = EU 41 / UK 8 = EU 42 / UK 9 = EU 43 / UK 10 = EU 44 / UK 11 = EU 46

Can I exchange for a different size if my order does not fit?
Yes. For size exchanges, contact us within 14 days of delivery. The shoes must be unworn and in their original packaging. Contact us on WhatsApp +971 50 968 0530 or email info@slimta.com and we will arrange the exchange for you.
Delivery
Do you offer free shipping in the UAE?
Yes. We offer free delivery on all orders of AED 100 or more across all UAE emirates โ Dubai, Abu Dhabi, Sharjah, Ajman, Ras Al Khaimah, Fujairah, and Umm Al Quwain. Orders are dispatched from Ajman via Aramex.
How long does delivery take?
- UAE: 1โ3 business days
- Saudi Arabia: 3-7 business days
- Kuwait: 3-7 business days
- Qatar: 3-7 business days
- Bahrain: 3-7 business days
- Oman: 3-7 business days
You will receive an Aramex tracking number by SMS and email once your order is dispatched. Track your order at our tracking page.
Do you deliver to Saudi Arabia, Qatar and other GCC countries?
Yes. We deliver to Saudi Arabia, Bahrain, Kuwait, Oman, Qatar, Egypt and Jordan. Standard GCC shipping is AED 35, with an estimated delivery of 3-7 business days.
How do I track my order?
Once your order is dispatched, you will receive an Aramex AWB (tracking number) by SMS and email. Visit our order tracking page, enter your AWB number, and you will be taken directly to the Aramex live tracking page.
Do you offer Cash on Delivery (COD)?
Yes, Cash on Delivery is available for UAE orders. Select COD at checkout. Please ensure someone is available at the delivery address to receive and pay for the order.
Returns & Exchanges
What is your return policy?
Returns may be requested within 14 days of delivery, subject to our Return & Refund Policy. The shoes must be unworn and in their original packaging. To start a return, contact us on WhatsApp +971 50 968 0530 or email info@slimta.com.
How do I start a return or exchange?
Contact us on WhatsApp at +971 50 968 0530 or email info@slimta.com with your order number and reason for return, before sending anything back. Our team will confirm eligibility, provide return instructions and process your refund or exchange within 2โ3 business days of receiving the item.
When will I receive my refund?
Refunds are processed within 2โ3 business days of us receiving the returned item. The refund will be returned to your original payment method. Card refunds may take 3โ7 business days to appear depending on your bank.

Can I get a VAT invoice for my order?
Yes. We issue VAT-compliant tax invoices for all orders. Email info@slimta.com with your order number and company TRN number after placing your order and we will send you the invoice within 24 hours.
Can I place a bulk or corporate order?
Can I modify or cancel my order after placing it?
You can modify or cancel your order within 2 hours of placing it by contacting us on WhatsApp +971 50 968 0530. After 2 hours, the order may already be packed and dispatched. In that case, you can use our returns process once you receive it.
Certification & Safety Standards
Are SLIMTA safety shoes certified for UAE construction sites?
Yes. All SLIMTA safety shoes are certified to EN ISO 20345:2011 โ the internationally recognised standard for safety footwear. This standard is accepted by UAE construction authorities, oil & gas operators, and industrial site managers as the qualifying standard for mandatory safety footwear PPE.
What does EN ISO 20345 mean?
EN ISO 20345 is the European and international standard that defines minimum requirements for safety footwear. Every shoe carrying this certification has passed independent testing for:
- Toe cap impact resistance โ 200 joules
- Toe cap compression resistance
- Sole penetration resistance
Different classifications (SBP, S1P, S3) indicate additional protections.
What is the difference between SBP, S1P and S3?
- SBP โ Steel toe cap + penetration-resistant midsole. Airwalk 832, Flyer 333, Ryder 223, 2092 S Series.
- S1P โ SBP + antistatic properties + energy-absorbing heel. S804, Defender 111.
- S3 โ S1P + water resistance + cleated outsole.
For most UAE construction and warehousing roles, SBP or S1P is sufficient. S3 is recommended for oil & gas and outdoor environments with water exposure.
Where can I find the certification label on my shoes?
The EN ISO 20345 certification and CE mark are stamped on the inner sole or tongue label of every SLIMTA safety shoe. Look for the CE symbol followed by the classification code (e.g. SBP or S1P).
